3 Things I’m Doing Less of in 2025

Last week, I shared what I'll be doing more of in 2025 to grow.

Here's 3 things I plan on doing less of next year.

 1. Working with Clients Purely 1:1

I love the depth of partnering with people 1:1. And I learn a lot from mentoring brilliant folks in this intimate way. But 2024 has shown me the unbelievable amplifying power of community.

"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”

Going fast can feel exciting, but I'm way more interested in going far. It's why The Impact Accelerator is hybrid. You get the depth of 1:1 sessions with me, while also benefiting immensely from being part of a small group of smart, caring, and kickass people who are doing dope sh!t.

What kind of cool stuff are people in the program currently creating?

  • A TEDx talk

  • Online workshops

  • Two In-person events

  • And group coaching programs

Some are dialling in their messaging and offers. Others are hiring their first virtual assistants. And they're all accelerating each-other's growth.

2. Worrying About Likes, Comments, + Views

I've signed six clients in the last week.

Most of them have barely engaged with my content. Heck, I wasn't even aware that one of them was watching.

Likes feel good.
Comments increase reach.
And both create the illusion of expertise.

But getting a bunch of claps doesn't guarantee you'll get clients.

And it's easy to fall into the trap of chasing engagement because there's a public counter for your likes + comments. And on some platforms, your number of views is also being rubbed in your face. But have you thought about why the platforms showcase those metrics?

Because they drive their goals.

Engagement on their platforms. And ultimately, how long people stay on there. But those aren't your goals.

So you better take the time to track the stuff that's harder to measure.

The number of curious DMs, inbound inquiries, newsletter sign-ups, and actual clients you get. And I'd recommend learning the difference between content that gets claps vs Content that Creates Clients™.

3. Disco/Enrollment Calls

In 2024, I brought in tens of thousands in revenue without speaking with the people on calls. Some of that was for events and lower priced workshops. But much of this revenue came from enrolling people into bigger programs with nothing more than some DMs and a Google doc.

And I have a goal.

By this time next year I'll be enrolling most of my clients without needing to do calls. I have an idea of what's needed to make this a reality. And I'll be sharing what I learn with my clients along the way.
